TEAM AND PLAYER REGISTRATION

Coaches: Welcome to the FCYBL 2007-08 season. If you are a returning coach, you will be renewing a team from last year.

RENEWING A TEAM FROM LAST SEASON: To register a team from last season, please request an ID and Password from Donna Troup. When you receive your ID and Password, go to WWW.FCYBL.ORG, click Team Registration, click the TEAM MANAGEMENT button and enter your ID and password. Make all necessary changes to your team. You will want to select the age of the team for this year if you will be coaching at the same age level. You will be able to edit your players and managers and print the two page roster including your DMV listing. You have until November 15th to enter all player information into FRS. Enter player/parent email addresses because the system will notify your players of any schedule changes. Finally, after you complete the team roster, print the team roster. At the "view roster" page, scroll down and click "view second page" and print the DMV listing (landscape). Y ou will "handwrite" the DMV ID number on this second page. Have all players, parents and coaches read the Code of Conduct and sign the roster. Make a copy for your files. Deliver the package to your FCYBL Representative. Your FCYBL Representative will deliver the original roster, DMV listing and copies of DMV IDs to the FCYBL League Commissioner address appearing at top of the roster. To register a team or select a team from last season, you will first register for an ID and Password.

NEW TEAM REGISTRATION: To register a NEW team, please send Donna Troup a message indicating you attended the coaches meeting. She will email you the New Team Registration link where you will register yourself and your team. After you register yourself and your new team, the system will generate and send your ID and Password to your FCYBL representative. The ID and Password will be sent to your email address within a few hours. When you receive your ID and Password, please go to WWW.FCYBL.ORG, click Team Registration, click the TEAM MANAGEMENT button and enter your ID and password. Please enter your players and managers into the system and print the two page roster with DMV listing. You have until November 15th to enter all player information into FRS. REGISTRATION OF PLAYERS The first form will be for Player #1. Fill in all information for player #1, #2, #3 …, #15. A coach can enter any number between 1 and 15 players. If you only want to enter 3 players now, just enter a "3" for Number of Players. Enter the three players and press "submit". You will receive your ID and PW on screen. You will be able to add other players later by going to the "Summary" URL and entering your Id and PW. An error message will be displayed when information concerning the player is inconsistent with the Leagues age, gender or residence. If an error message appears and you have a waiver (e.g. grade waiver), the birth date exception box may be checked by a coach if the players birth date does not conform with the rules. This will allow the coach to enter the data and proceed, while noting the exception. Please scoll down to review your club's Zip Code allocation. All exceptions will be flagged in the Commissioners Summary screen when the Commissioner views the SUMMARY report. All mandatory fields are needed. The most important field is the Email Address. If a player doesn't have an email address, use the coaches. Email notification is the most important feature of FRS. The League Administrator will use the contact information in FRS to notify you and your players of a gym closing. We do not want 20 sets of players , parents and coaches drive for up to 40 minutes and find the gym has been taken back by the school. Coaches will have the ability to view, edit, add or delete a player (s) on their team roster up until a Commissioner has signed off on the roster, but no later than November 16th. The coaches ID and Password will be cancelled on November 15th for the 10 through 13-year-old leagues. The coaches ID and Password will be cancelled on December 15th for the 14, 15 and 18-year-old leagues. Once all players have been entered successfully into FRS, the coach will be ready to print out the team's roster.

TEAM ROSTER The team roster will be the same roster FCYBL has been using for the past few years. All data fields from the player forms will appear on the roster. This roster will allow the coaches, players, parents and club representative to sign, verifying all information is correct and all have agreed to the Code of Conduct. After printing the team's roster, the coach will print out the DMV Team Form. It has been found that the roster may not print in landscape if your ISP is AOL.

DMV and SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERS: FRS will not ask for any DMV or SSN numbers. Please print the DMV Team form after completing the team roster. The DMV form will list the players name and address. The coach will meet and have players and parents; collect copies of the player's DMV cards of all players on the team. The coach will enter DMV numbers of all players on the DMV listing form. 

Identification and verification: Each player must obtain a Player Identification Card. The card will be required as an official player identification at all FCYBL games. Player Identification Card shall be the sole allowable proof of age in determining a player's eligibility.

Accepted Player Identification Cards: Commonwealth of Virginia Identification Card as issued by the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). The ID must be current. Card must display the player's photograph, date of birth, date of issue and signature of player or printed first/last names of those players under ten (10) years of age. Cards are available from all Virginia DMV Offices at a nominal charge. Original birth certificate and social security card (or other DMV approved identification) are required to obtain Identification Card. Commonwealth of Virginia Learner's Permit as issued by the Virginia DMV. All identification cards must be valid, current, and issued within the time frame noted above. CODE OF CONDUCT Please print the Coaches, Players and Spectators Code of Conduct after entering all players. The coach will meet and have players and parents; collect copies of DMV cards, sign the roster to verify all data is correct and read and agree to the CoC. Copies of the signed rosters, DMV listing and player DMV cards will be delivered to the appropriate Club Rep for their signature and then sent by December 1 to address on the roster form (top right corner.)
